Collaborating for innovation

Canada has been slow to adopt virtual care, yet during the pandemic we were able to quickly pivot. Overnight, health care providers began offering virtual visits with their patients to enable them to continue to safely access care and address their health issues. The rapid switch to virtual care was enabled through excellent collaboration by all stakeholders, including the private sector.

Many Canadian health care companies have been working to improve the quality of care for patients using digital health technologies, including the founding sponsors of the Infoway Alliance. The Alliance, launched in late 2019 by Canada Health Infoway, includes private sector leaders Accenture Canada, Cerner Canada, LifeLabs, Orion Health, RGAX, Roche Canada, Teladoc Health and TELUS Health.

Bringing together stakeholders can help us ensure a brighter and healthier future for all Canadians.
